About

This site provides an identity and address generator that runs entirely in your browser, built for software development, testing and data seeding.

What we do

We collect the address-format rules, administrative division data, postal-code conventions and national identifier formats of many countries into one structured dataset, so developers can generate correct, internally consistent test data in a single place.

Every generation happens in your browser. No request is sent to a server, there is no account, and no usage is recorded.

Where the data comes from

Administrative divisions, cities, population ranks and postal codes come from GeoNames under the CC-BY 4.0 licence. Name pools come from @faker-js/faker under the MIT licence.

We are grateful to the maintainers of both projects. The complete list of sources and their terms is on the Data Sources page.

Our principles

  • Data separated from code: country rules live in JSON, so changing one country's format never touches the generation logic.
  • Consistency first: city, division and postal code always come from the same record and can never contradict each other.
  • Reproducible: the same identity key always produces the same result, which is what makes it usable in automated tests.
  • Honest labelling: fields without authoritative data are marked as such rather than passed off as real.
